Inside the Next Chapter: How The Venetian Resort Las Vegas Is Evolving for Today’s Corporate Event Leaders
As ELX prepares to bring the Annual Congress to Las Vegas, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas offers a fitting backdrop for a community of senior corporate event leaders managing some of the most complex event portfolios in the world.
With an over $1.5 billion renovation underway, The Venetian Resort is entering a significant new chapter. The investment includes redesigned suites, expanded meeting spaces, new entertainment offerings, and new and refreshed restaurants, all part of a broader focus on continuing to evolve the guest and group experience.
For corporate event leaders, the resort’s scale is only part of the story. With more than 26 years of MICE experience, The Venetian Resort has built deep expertise in hosting high-value meetings, incentives, conferences, and events. Its continued investment reflects how the expectations of attendees, planners, and organizations are changing.
Ahead of the ELX Annual Congress, we spoke with Karin Davis, Vice President of Sales, about the evolution of The Venetian Resort, what the renovation means for event leaders, and how the resort continues to innovate while maintaining the service and experience that bring guests back year after year.
The Venetian Resort is undergoing an over $1.5 billion renovation. From your perspective, what does this investment represent for the resort and for the corporate events market?
Karin: This historic investment of more than $1.5 billion marks a monumental evolution for The Venetian Resort. Having had the privilege of representing this iconic property for over 18 years, I can confidently say this is our most thrilling chapter yet. By comprehensively reimagining our suites, meeting spaces, dining, and entertainment, we are elevating our signature luxury experience to unprecedented heights. Every corner of the resort now pulses with fresh, captivating energy and world-class innovation.
The renovation includes new suites, meeting space, entertainment, and restaurants. Which elements do you think will be most relevant to event leaders planning complex business events?
Karin: For complex business events, success hinges on the entire attendee journey from the moment of arrival to departure. Without question, the most impactful element for event leaders is our $188 million investment in our meeting space. We honored our luxurious Italian heritage while introducing a sophisticated, neutral color palette that acts as a premium canvas, allowing the client's brand to truly take center stage. Beyond the meeting rooms, retreating to the newly reimagined suites in The Venetian makes every attendee feel highly valued. Couple that with our unparalleled culinary ecosystem ranging from dynamic casual dining to acclaimed celebrity-chef restaurants. We offer event planners a flawless, all-encompassing integrated resort.
The Venetian Resort has more than 26 years of experience in the MICE market. How has that depth of experience shaped the way your team supports large-scale corporate events today?
Karin: The 26-year legacy in the MICE market is arguably our greatest asset. It means our team doesn't just facilitate an event; we act as strategic consultants. We leverage decades of knowledge, insights, and industry best practices to guide you through every logistical nuance. By actively listening to a planner’s specific goals, we collaborate to create an experience that not only runs seamlessly but actively drives your business objectives forward. High-level partnership and flawless execution are simply what we do best.
More than 70% of guests are returning to you year over year. What do you believe drives that level of loyalty, and how does it influence the way you continue to innovate?
Karin: Loyalty of this magnitude is never about just one single element; it is rooted in the comprehensive, premium experience we deliver from the moment our guests arrive. Our relentless commitment to innovation means we aren't just a static venue; we are a dynamic partner. We provide the flexible infrastructure that allows our clients' events of all sizes to scale, evolve, and consistently exceed their business objectives. Ultimately, it is our unwavering consistency in world-class service and our unique ability to customize the attendee journey that keeps our MICE clients partnering with us year after year.
For many ELX members, events are increasingly being evaluated through the lens of business impact, attendee value, and leadership perception. How does The Venetian Resort help event teams deliver against those expectations?
Karin: To deliver true business impact, we operate as strategic partners rather than just a venue. We collaborate intimately with event planners to architect programs that generate measurable ROI and satisfy the high expectations of both C-suite leadership and attendees. Because every event has a unique DNA, we start by deeply understanding the specific business objectives. From there, our seasoned team provides consultative guidance at every juncture, leveraging our industry expertise and premier network to map out the most effective, results-driven path to success.
The ELX Annual Congress brings together senior corporate event leaders from some of the world’s largest brands. What are you most looking forward to showcasing to this community?
Karin: While digital renderings and social media offer a beautiful glimpse into our over $1.5 billion transformation, nothing replaces the firsthand experience of staying at The Venetian Resort. I am most excited to have these senior leaders step directly into our newly reimagined meeting spaces and brand-new suites. By immersing the ELX community in the property exactly as their own attendees would navigate it, we can tangibly demonstrate how our luxury ecosystem will elevate their future events.
Looking ahead, how do you see The Venetian Resort continuing to evolve for the next generation of corporate meetings and events?
Karin: The future is incredibly bright. We are supported by visionary leadership committed to relentless innovation and strategic reinvestment. Cultivating a culture where we constantly test, iterate, and learn is exactly what keeps The Venetian Resort at the industry's cutting edge. Looking ahead, we are heavily focused on integrating AI to drive operational efficiencies and hyper-personalize the guest experience. Yet, amidst all this technological advancement, the core of our business remains deeply human. As the workforce evolves, in-person events will only become more critical. Technology can enhance a meeting, but nothing will ever replace the organic inspiration, strategic networking, and shared learning that happens when attendees gather face-to-face.
