Questions and answers

What is ELX?

What is the ELX community?

ELX is the leading invitation-only community for senior corporate event leaders from the world’s largest organizations. It provides a confidential, peer-driven space to exchange insights, solve challenges, and refine event strategies.

How was the ELX community founded?

The ELX (Event Leaders Exchange) community was founded in 2021 during the pandemic by visionary co-founders Mark Brewster and David Kliman, to address the unique needs of global heads of events.

Recognizing the challenges and the lack of a dedicated platform for these senior leaders, they created an exclusive, invitation-only community for them to connect, share knowledge confidentially, and collaborate on critical issues in a trusted environment.

ELX's mission is to empower senior event leaders to navigate the complexities of corporate event strategy by fostering candid peer-to-peer exchange in a trusted environment.

What are the guidelines under which ELX operates?

The ELX Member Guidelines ensure members commit to respect, inclusivity, and active contribution and can be found here.

ELX also operates under Chatham House Rule, ensuring confidentiality and candor in every conversation.

ELX also has strict minimum guidelines surrounding partnerships, ensuring the community maintains a strict 9:1 member to partner ratio at all times.

What is the Chatham House Rule?

The Chatham House Rule allows members to use the information shared in discussions but not disclose who said it. This creates a safe space for open and honest dialogue.

More information on Chatham House Rule can be found here.
