ELX

ELX is a place where the leaders of corporate programs can get candid insights, ideas and support from other leaders navigating major meeting and event portfolios.

The initiative is the brainchild of some large corporate leaders and is organized and facilitated by veterans Kimberly Meyer, David Kliman, Chloe Richardson, and Mark Brewster.  The first meetings were held in September 2021 with a series of invitation-only think tanks to support c-suite event professionals navigating the evolution of events taking place post-pandemic.

Together, we’ll be able to drive some important initiatives forward across the industry in weeks, not years.  To do this effectively, ELX will remain exclusive to global corporate heads of events and senior meeting leaders who sit at the very top of their company’s events programs. ELX members and partners are encouraged to recruit new corporate planners to join the ELX Community.

ELX is perfect for professionals who

  • Employed by a corporation* or wholly owned subsidiary, division, or regional company as the senior highest-ranking meeting/event leader. And
  • Their corporations have US$3+ billion annual corporate revenue and 3,000+ employees, or
  • The company they presented produces a minimum of 700 meetings and events annually.

* The corporation may not plan or own events as its primary business or act as a supplier to the meetings/events industry.

Expected member contributions to ELX:

  • Attendance at one meeting per year in person for each region (including meetings to be held at IMEX Frankfurt and America, member hosted at their facility, or other industry events).
  • Participate in circa four virtual meetings per year.
  • Contribute (lead or fully participate) to at least one ELX topic per year that benefits you and the community.
  • Provide blinded materials and respond to surveys, where appropriate, to contribute to topics and wealth of discussion.

Current ELX members include senior event professionals from:
